Payment Terms

This page explains how payments work at Psyche — both what you pay us, and what we pay you if you take part in the referral programme.

Paying for Psyche

Paid access is billed through Paddle, our merchant of record. Founding "wave" purchases grant lifetime access to the features described in that wave's offer at the time of purchase; prices for future waves may change. We never see or store your card details. Refunds follow our refund policy at purchase and applicable consumer law (including the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act where it applies). Prices may be exclusive of tax; any applicable tax is added and shown before you confirm.

Your API key and usage costs

Psyche runs on your own AI key, so the cost of your AI usage is billed to you directly by your provider (for example, Anthropic), separately from anything you pay Psyche. Keeping that key funded is your responsibility.

Referral programme — how you earn

If you share Psyche with your link, you may earn commission on subscriptions from people who join through it, for as long as their subscription stays active. Commission is a percentage of the subscription, set by your membership tier, and is paid only on active, paying subscribers. Commission stops when a referred subscription ends. Self-referrals, spam, misleading promotion, or artificial sign-ups void earnings. We make no promise about how much, if anything, you will earn, and we only ever show amounts actually earned or paid — never projected or promised figures.

Holding period

Because card payments can be disputed or refunded for some time after they're made, commission is held before it becomes payable. Each commission clears 30 days after it is earned. This holding period protects the programme: we only pay on revenue that has settled and is unlikely to be reversed.

Payouts

Cleared commission is paid once a month, on a single set payout date, provided your available balance is over $50. Balances under $50 roll over to the following month. Depending on when commission clears relative to the payout date, your first payment may take up to two months to arrive. A transfer fee is deducted from each payout and shown before you confirm. You must provide a valid payout method before any payout is released, and you're responsible for any tax on your earnings.

Refunds and clawback

If a payment on which commission was already paid is later refunded or charged back, that commission is reversed and deducted from your next balance (a clawback). You agree to this clawback as a condition of taking part; if your balance is insufficient, we may recover it from future earnings.

Closing your account

If you close your account, any cleared, available balance is paid to your registered details. Commission still within the holding period has not cleared and is forfeited. If you'd rather keep it, wait until pending amounts are paid before closing.

Changes

Rates, holding period, thresholds, and payout dates are described in the app and may be updated with reasonable notice. We may change, suspend, or end the referral programme at any time; commission already cleared under these terms will still be paid.
